We are active, life science investors, partnering with entrepreneurs ready to prosecute a first commercial campaign. We evaluate and assist in corporate structure, organizational design, capital formation, and strategy to market. We are “valley of death” investors and deploy a model of active oversight in the early stages of corporate development by recruiting commercial management, co-investing with strategic participants then seeking institutional co-investors.

We are lead investors and typically first investors on the cap table. We prioritize investments that have the potential to create significant, positive impacts not only to relieve the pain and suffering of the human disease health but also on creating sustainable well-being and long-term health and well-being. Furthermore, we prioritize investments that will directly impact the community in which we reside and operate.

The Council for Entrepreneurial Development
We are located on the North Carolina Research Campus. CCC is embedded in this unique public-private partnership ecosystem, comprised of ten different Universities including UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke University, NC State, Catawba College and many others. CCC is the first firm to commercialize IP developed on campus from the Nutritional Research Institute of UNC Chapel Hill. We have many collaboration on campus and have the privilege to work with Principal Investigators across in genomics, bioinformatics, nutrition, immunology from the campus. The campus is designed to revolutionize science at the intersection of human health, nutrition, and agriculture.
We serve on The North Carolina Biotechnology Center’s Advisory. NCBC is a major force in North Carolina supporting the NC biotechnology sector by assisting life science technologies and companies to transform at every stage along the development pipeline. Coddle Creek Capital portfolio companies have been the recipient of NCBC’s President Award Grant and have won Regional NCBC Biotech Showcase Awards.
The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) is committed to aiding entrepreneurs in the North Carolina region by providing the necessary resources to help build and launch successful businesses. As a non-profit organization, CED is dedicated to connecting regional entrepreneurs with the right connections and tools for their ventures.
